Meg Devlin Irish

Meg Devlin Irish is a published songwriter, musician, and poet.  Her songs are awash in romance and spirituality, drawing on her roots in folk/ pop and country music.

 She is thankful to have worked with some of New England's finest musicians over the years in duo's, folk/ rock and country group's. And very Thankful for the support of so many Radio Personality's, Jack Donovan of WDEV, Radio Vermont!  Nancy MacDowell, Vermont.... Pete Merrigan, New Hampshire....Dixie McCorkall, TSP Country Radio.... Jacques "Rockin' Boy" Dufour, Lyon, France, and many more national and international.

Meg won her first songwriting award at age 16, and released her first album of original's in 1996 with lifelong friend Robyn Ledoux. 'Only True Lover's Cry', produced by Horace Williams Jr., Little Castle Studio, Starksboro, VT. This followed by Meg's second album, 'Grounded' in 2000.

Next came two albums produced by multi-talented musician and songwriter Colin McCaffrey, the Green Room, East Montpelier, VT. 'Rock Solid Romancin', 2005, and 'Deeper Shade Of Blue', 2008. Both albums released to critical acclaim by Vermont's top newspapers.

2010- and a move to the State of New Hampshire where she begins studio work with veteran Nashville producer and studio musician Jim Prendergast. 

2014 The release of Meg's 5th Album, 'Right On Time', produced by Jim Prendergast and Colin McCaffrey.

2015 Meg makes it onto the European Country Music chats.

2016 Back in the studio with Jim Prendergast, Mill Pond Music Studio, Portsmouth, NH recording and releasing new originals song's.

Looking back:

November, 2014, Meg's song,' DEEPER SHADE OF BLUE', and 'ROCK SOLID ROMANCIN', ( this one co-written w/ Colin McCaffrey), have been recorded and released by recording artist Enerj'Ane, on her latest album, 'Running From Yesterday'.

Meg's song, “Beacon”, is part of the Ferry Music and Lake History program airing from on board the Adirondack Ferry, Vermont’s most scenic ferry crossing.

 “This Is Vermont, My Home”, now a YouTube video, was a finalist in the 1999 Vermont State song competition sponsored by the Vermont Council on the Arts.

 Her song, ‘RETURN’, was released on the ‘Best Of Vermont’ cd in 1996.  Re-released on the ‘Sullivan Square’ cd.

 In 2012, the title cut, “Deeper Shade Of Blue”, Dutch version, was recorded and released on a Belgium Label.

 Meg joined the ‘Poetry Society Of New Hampshire’ in 2010, and published her poetry Blog in 2012.

Meg's music receives international airplay and her songs are also covered by artists in New England and abroad.

2016 Enjoying life in Upstate New York with her husband Stephen and currently writing songs for her next album.
