FOR THE WORLD TO SEE AND BELIEVE ©2023 Meg Devlin Irish

Our Abba Father is always listening, for each of us He cares
The bible teaches He loved us first with a love we’re meant to share
Why is it then in this world today we’re hung up on desperate living?
If we say we’re willin’ the Lord is too, let’s get back to the beginning
Chorus:
As God is our Father, Jesus is our brother
His sacrifice, no greater love will there be
Upon the cross he cried forgiveness, then filled us with the Holy Spirit
And built a fire in our hearts for the world to see, hear and believe

Maybe we’re like the little Sparrows fearful of their songs to sing
But, no terror of night, or snare by day can steal our refuge under his wings.
And when two or three are gathered in God’s name we become one
With power in our heart we can shine His light, for by His grace His will is done
Chorus:
As God is our Father, Jesus is our brother
His sacrifice, no greater love will there ever be
Upon the cross he cried forgiveness, then filled us with the Holy Spirit
And built a fire in our hearts for the world to see, hear and believe
